'There are two reasons for drinking wine….when you are thirsty, to cure it, the other, when you are not thirsty, to prevent it…prevention is better than cure' - Thomas Love Peacock
At Ecco Vino we pride ourselves on our extensive cellar. The New World, as well as the Old, feature in our collection and many unusual and keenly priced vintages are held. Our customers know that if Ecco Vino is showcasing a wine it is well worth a try, and probably a bargain, too. We cannot show all our wines, we have far too many, but here a few which can be sampled by the glass or by the bottle. If you have a favourite you would like us to source, e-mail your request and we will seek it out.
In the meantime, enjoy.

| Several of our wines - especially those from New Zealand and Australia – now arrive with screwcaps or ‘Stelvin’ closures. More and more forward-looking winemakers are choosing this method of closure, as it all but eliminates the risk of cardboardy cork taint. While realising that traditionalists may find the absence of a cork surprising in wines of this quality, we welcome the assurance they bring of taint-free wine.
